Sight and Sound: UNC-KCL Joint Graduate Student Music Conference 201528-30 May, 2015
Room SWB 21, Music Dept. King’s College LondonWe are pleased to announce that registration for ‘Sight and Sound’, the fourth UNC-KCL Joint Graduate Student Music Conference, is now open. The conference aims to build on previous joint conferences, giving postgraduate students from both institutions the opportunity to meet, present their current research, and generate new thinking in the fields of musicology, ethnomusicology, and the creative industries.

A draft programme for the conference can now be found on the conference website (see below link).The conference will feature a range of presentations and workshops given by students from both participating institutions. There will also be an opening panel featuring invited researchers Dr. Richard Williams, Dr. Oskar Cox-Jensen, Dr. Zeynep Bulut, Dr. Heather Wiebe, and Prof. Dan Leech-Wilkinson, who will offer a range of perspectives on the conference theme.

The keynote address will be given by Prof. Nicholas Cook (University of Cambridge).

Admission to the conference is FREE, but registration is preferable to help us get a good idea of numbers. To register, please click on the ‘Register’ tab above.
